Our current accomplishments:

• We built relationships with City departments and enlisted their support towards developing a Lake Management Plan,
• We hosted community events including a fall Ice Cream Social and winter Skating Party,
• We coordinated cleanup and work days,
• We studied the pond’s ecological health, including sampling the water each summer through the NYSDEC Citizen’s Statewide Lake Assessment Program,
• We secured two grants enabling a thorough study of the Pond from the Hudson Valley Greenways and a significant grant from The Bender Family Foundation.
