Many thanks to the City of Albany Water Department and Department of General Services who are working together to provide a drinking fountain at Buckingham Pond Park.   And the Water Department has also removed the ugly pipe that used to stick out of the center of the pond!  This is great news for all of us who visit the pond.

DGS has committed to do a number of other projects for us this year so be on the look out for changes including improved drainage at the intersection of Euclid and Berkshire on the South (New Scotland) side where we often get serious erosion by the tree near the new crosswalk.

This picture, taken before the Memorial Day weekend, shows the Water Department hard at work reconfiguring the water line.
