Path Improvements
Native Planting & Shoreline Stabilization Area

If you haven’t walked around the pond recently be sure to check out the improvements to the path on the south (New Scotland) side. Over the summer the City of Albany reconfigured the pond path to be much less steep, reducing erosion problems and making the path easier for all to walk. Funds for this project were provided through a grant from the Albany County Soil & Water Conservation District, which the Buckingham Pond Conservancy helped arrange. Note also the new garbage can at the Lenox entrance to the path which is in active use, especially by dog owners, hurray!
