Thanks for a Great 2010 Fall Clean Up
Native Planting & Shoreline Stabilization Area

The Fall 2010 Clean up was a great success! Thanks to everyone for a terrific job at the clean up last Sunday. We had more than 25 enthusiastic volunteers who planted hundreds of bulbs. Look for the results of their efforts next spring. Each clean up we are finding less and less garbage around the pond and park — our efforts are really paying off! Special thanks to the City of Albany Department of General Services, especially Judy Stacey for providing us with the bulbs, dirt and tools. Next up for BPC is a January annual meeting to set priorities for 2011.

Next up for BPC is a January annual meeting to set priorities for 2011. We'll be back to you soon with a date and time. Please start thinking about what you'd like to see the group focus on next year. We need your ideas and enthusiasm! Also, there's talk of a skating/winter party some time this winter, but we need a small group to organize it. We had hoped to do something similar over the summer but it didn't come together. If you are interested in working on these type of community building events, contact me at [email protected]. We'd love to have a neighborhood party with food, fun and activities centered around the pond.
