The Conservancy sponsors several regular community events throughout the year, and is looking for other opportunities to engage the membership and the general public. All are welcome.
Annual Members Meeting
Each year in late March or early April, BPC members come together to celebrate successes and revisit priorities. BPC Board Members and invited experts present yearly accomplishments, highlights, and financial standing to the general membership
Spring Clean-up
Volunteers help get the playground and pond grounds ready for visitors during the annual Spring Clean-Up on a spring Sunday afternoon, typically in late April or early May.
Ice Cream Social
This educational and fun fall event, typically held on the first Sunday after Labor Day, brings members, visitors and neighbors together to spend time, learn about the pond, and of course, eat ice cream!

Fall Clean-up
Taking place in late fall, projects usually include garbage pickup throughout the park, general gardening and trimming, and removal of invasive species.
Skating Party
In partnership with the City of Albany Department of Recreation, the Conservancy hosts an annual ice skating party on a Sunday afternoon in late January or early February. It’s truly special to skate the pond with 100-200 neighbors and friends! This event is dependent on the condition of the ice on the pond.
